Fu Ren's Pork Ball Soup

Fu Ren is a pretty excellent northern Chinese restaurant with a little bit of middle eastern influence in the Flushing area.   If you’re in the mood for solid Chinese comfort food, this should be one of the first choices you consider.

Pig out platter I think it was called. We definitely felt bovine after this meal.

Was down for some BBQ but didn’t want to pay the crazy prices.  We found this place from five minutes of searching online.  This is definitely a local bar, but with a giant smoker in the back imported from the Lone Star state.

Our uber talented hotter-than-the-take-home-chef cow cow has been practicing his pizza making skills for a few months now, and today he made us a delicious tasting pizza with salami, fresh mushrooms, and fresh mozzarella. The dough was chewy with the perfect thickness.

Pho schizzle

Need a quick Pho fix?  Pho 79 might hit the spot.  Though their website is pretty crummy with only their locations.  Conveniently located off Garfield Ave. next to the theatre, this is one of my on the way/in the neighborhood Pho destinations.  In this case it was on the way.

We got there about an hour before they closed and the waiter was already pushing me to hurry up.  I sat down and immediately ordered two bowls of combination Pho and an order of spring rolls.
