Fu Ren is a pretty excellent northern Chinese restaurant with a little bit of middle eastern influence in the Flushing area. If you’re in the mood for solid Chinese comfort food, this should be one of the first choices you consider.

Opened in April 2011, Agora Taverna is a new Greek seafood restaurant on Austin Street in Forest Hills, Queens. People rarely come to Forest Hills for Mediterranean flavors as most would go to Astoria, famous for the large Greek population and the variety of Greek eateries. Now, the famed Astoria “fish place” Taverna Kyclades has held the trophy of being probably the best seafood restaurant in Queens, if not in New York. Having been to both restaurants, I’d say that dishes served at Agora and Taverna Kyclades are fairly similar, with identical flavor profiles that are buttery, lemony, and garnished with loads of herbs.

pho pho pho
Perfect for the chilly weather – a large bowl of pho with tender beef slices, meatballs, tendon, and briskets. This is definitely one of our favourite places in Queens. Do not expect 3-star service here, but the fewd is absolutely delicious.
